| I enjoy playing bass
but in the studio moving from guitar to bass and back to guitar was driving me
crazy because of the scale of the fretboard. The bass is much longer and wider
and my hands were confused. I found this bass on eBay for a good price new and
I have used it in the studio ever since. It's also the same scale as the
Ovation acoustic bass so practicing on one and moving to the other is pretty
easy. I don't know if it's inherent in the 3/4 scale necks but I have noticed
that I can't play it as hard or with the authority that I can with the full
scale bass. A little thinner in tone too but it suits my needs
