I bought this at
Sunnyland Music in N. Miami beach in 1972. Soon after I got it I accidently
left it outside on the back porch under clear skies and fell asleep on the
couch. Clear skies in Florida don't mean anything. During the night we had a
torential rain storm and the guitar was filled with water. I dried it out with
a hair dryer. The guitar didn't suffer any problems from the ordeal and I used
it on the Soulo album for most of the 12 string work including the lead work on
Martelduci. The only problem I've had is the block (inside the guitar) became
loose after 30 years and I've had it reglued. Since, I have had to keep it
tuned a whole step down to keep the string pressure off the block. I guess you
could say that it's semi retired. |
